Calculators: formulas and assumptions
Every calculator runs in your browser and publishes its formulas and assumptions on its own page, under "Formulas & assumptions". The calculation code is covered by automated tests.
- Crypto Profit Calculator: spot profit or loss and ROI from the amount invested, buy price and current or sell price (fees are not included).
- Leverage P&L Calculator: futures P&L, ROE, break-even and an estimated liquidation price, including fees, funding and slippage.
- Position Size & Risk Manager: position size from account size, risk per trade and stop-loss distance.
- Gas Fee Calculator: transaction costs from gas used and gas price on Ethereum and other EVM networks.
Results are estimates. Exchanges apply their own fee tiers, funding rates, tiered maintenance margins and mark prices, so always confirm figures such as a liquidation price on your exchange.
Market data
Prices, 24-hour changes, total market capitalization and Bitcoin's 24-hour trading volume come from CoinMarketCap, fetched by our server and refreshed about every 15 minutes. Pages check for new data every 5 minutes and label it as delayed when it is more than 30 minutes old. If the feed is unavailable, the site shows that instead of a number.
The homepage Daily Bias averages the 24-hour change of BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, ADA and XRP: an average move under 0.5% in either direction is Neutral, otherwise Bullish or Bearish. It describes the last 24 hours, not a forecast.
Bitcoin Volume & Liquidity Alerts
Once an hour, a scheduled job reads each exchange's own public market data for Bitcoin: spot markets on Coinbase, Kraken, Binance and Crypto.com, and futures on Kraken, Binance and Bitunix.
- Volume: compares the last two completed hourly candles. A change of 0.5% or more, up or down, is recorded as an alert.
- Liquidity: adds up order-book depth within 1% of the mid price and compares it with the previous hour's snapshot; a change of 0.5% or more is an alert. When an exchange's free data does not reach 1% from the price, depth is shown as a minimum and not compared.
- Each alert is recorded once. Exchanges that fail or are region-blocked are shown as unavailable, and data is never filled in. If an hourly update runs late, the last collected figures stay up with the time they were last updated. Times are shown in New York time.
Today's Crypto News
The daily briefing is built from public feeds of primary sources (SEC, CFTC, Federal Reserve, Bitcoin Core, Ethereum Foundation) and established newsrooms (Blockworks, CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, DL News, Decrypt, The Block). Each story links to its source and shows how it was verified. Newsroom articles are linked, not republished.
Market-timing research tools
Calendar Cycle Closures counts how many daily timeframes close on a date, using the day of the year in your local time zone. The AstroMarkets pages calculate moon phases, eclipses and retrogrades with an astronomy library. These tools describe calendar and astronomical structure; they are research aids, not trading signals or predictions.
